Oh man. I feel for you so much. I couldn’t agree with the flow chart too. It’s not something reserved for art. It is a human emotion, and I’m sure the author is aware of generalisation but it makes us artist seem like we’re not people or something.
Exactly! Like, I get what they’re trying to say, and I agree that these approaches can be uncomfortable (for anyone). But even just the tone of the 3rd panels are like… what? You want people to be casual with you, but you talk down to them (“lacking personality”, “stalker”) lol okay.
[Edit] Also, it’s exactly that everyone has different approaches/skill levels/conditions/whatever that I think everyone is “guilty” of being type A & B at one time or another, that’s why no one should feel like shit for being like everyone else (because I know at least one person out there will look at this and feel self conscious).
The more I see that “How to talk to an artist” post, the madder I get.
Seriously, “how” to talk to an artist? HOW? No artist has the right to instruct their audience on how to fucking talk to them. Every person should be treated with basic human respect; what makes you so special? Because you can draw? Give me a break.

Type C is preferred, but it’s not like I mind type A or B either. Lots of people are naturally shy, may have social anxiety, or been raised to act a certain way to strangers. Honestly as long as they’re expressing like for my work then I’m quite happy.
Wanted to see what the new costume looked like on a female body. It seems like all the piping would do well to highlight curves and such (not that it’s obvious here at all lol). Not red because no. Didn’t draw hands either because no.

I’ve been thinking about prints a lot lately, because it’s con season again and it’s like all other amateur artists are talking about prints (it’s actually driving me nuts). Plus I’ve been thinking of possibly doing a giveaway once I reach the next major follower milestone, again another tumblr thing (bad tumblr, no brainwashing). Alas, all thoughts for another day.
